Removed my profiles from moikrug and vkontakte: it was fun, but managing the same friend network in four places is pretty strange when you think of it. So I guess I'll stay with LinkedIn, feel free to add.
Update regarding vkontakte (01/2011): wow, people keep hitting this post when searching for "delete vkontakte account". The comments below are outdated, and the up-to-date instructions are here. They're basically saying that you can't delete your account permanently, and instead you should
- change all your contact info to meaningless placeholders
- go to "Мои Настройки > Приватность" ("My settings > Privacy"), select "Только я" ("Only me") wherever applicable and hit "Сохранить" ("Save").
That doesn't really help from e.g. friendship requests from friends of friends, but oh well.

Wow, last time I wanted to delete my vkontakte account I failed to find the right button. Where is it?ReplyDelete
It's properly hidden: http://vkontakte.ru/faq.php?s=9ReplyDelete
"Мои настройки" - "Приватность" - "Кто может смотреть мою страницу" - "Никто, удалить страницу"!
to akho: Looks cool.ReplyDelete
I'd say it's not only cool but also overengineered. Not that it matters, though.ReplyDelete
I have a question about deleting a account on vkontakte... it seems that it doesn't remove it permanently... only your page... is there another way to remove permanently?ReplyDelete
Hi there! Unfortunately I also want but can't remove VKontakte account. That way of deleting the page doesn't work properly. The stuff still leaves your page on line. How could I solve the problem?ReplyDelete
cant delete it either, there is no such option as никто. does there exist another possibility to delete the account? I cant rename it either can i?ReplyDelete
Wow, that can drive one crazy. But it works, eventually. Dont give up to fast!ReplyDelete
